MERALCO is going back to its MICAA days, while San Miguel will be strutting the jerseys for the 1980s as they go retro during their PBA 50th anniversary game at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
The Bolts are going back to their Reddy Kilowatts days with the old Meralco logo also prominent in their jerseys that they wore during their pre-PBA time.
The Beermen, meanwhile, have chosen a white jersey from 1982 for the retro game that also sees a rematch of the Philippine Cup finals.

The Beermen’s throwback jersey can still be seen on YouTube, particularly a July 8, 1982 game where one of San Miguel’s players included Meralco, which is now the consultant of Meralco.
The Bolts’ retro jersey can only be seen in photos. The most notable time Meralco wore that jersey was during their title run in the 1971 MICAA, the only other time the company won a basketball crown after the Bolts won their first-ever PBA crown in the 2024 Philippine Cup.
San Miguel defeated Meralco, 110-98, in the retro game that also saw the TV broadcast bringing in elements of how games were presented during the early years of the PBA.
