SAN Miguel is parading its fourth import of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup with Malik Pope.

Pope has replaced Jabari Narcis and has been activated in time for the Beermen’s out-of-town game against Meralco in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
Import change, yet again
The entry of the 28-year-old Pope, listed at 6-foot-10, is the latest development in what has been a revolving door of imports for SMB this conference.
San Miguel previously had Quincy Miller, Torren Jones, and Narcis, but their collective play has only resulted to a 4-4 win-loss record for the defending champions.
The Beermen are now hoping Pope would immediately make an impact in such a short time, as they cling to that No. 8 spot in the quarterfinals, with Magnolia right on their heels with a 4-6 win-loss mark.
Pope has credentials which include a stint with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Summer League in 2018. He also played with Austin Spurs, Ignite, Wisconsin Herd, and Delaware Blue Coats in the G League.
The San Diego State product most recently played in Estonia.
