SAN Miguel is currently in a bind regarding the hamstring injury suffered by import Jordan Adams heading to the playoffs of the PBA Governors’ Cup.
An emergency team meeting among the coaching staff has been scheduled on Sunday to decide on what to do with the situation of the former NBA first round pick, according to coach Jorge Gallent.
“We have to talk about it (tomorrow) and decide yung scenario. It’s very hard kasi pag hamstring. Traidor yan,” said Gallent on Saturday.
The 30-year-old Adams injured his hamstring early in the fourth quarter of the Beermen’s loss against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
The import was checked up on Friday and was told about his health situation.
“Yung doctor told him that if he plays, there’s a possibility that he will tear it. And we cannot afford that talaga,” said Gallent.

Adams sat out San Miguel’s final game of the group stage on Saturday where it lost to Blackwater, 111-94, to finish with a 6-4 record.
The San Miguel coach said if the team decides to let go of Adams, it should be a consensus decision by the Beermen.
“If we’re gonna change of course, full support na sa amin yun, as in desidido na kami na hindi puwedeng 80 percent, 90 percent,” Gallent stressed. “If we will change, its 100 percent na yes. If we change, we’ll change. Wala ng scenario na what if.”
