MARCUS Weathers arrived in the country early for the PBA Governors Cup.
But instead of playing for San Miguel, he ended up in a NorthPort uniform.
The 25-year-old Weathers was taken by the Batang Pier as the Beermen settled for former NLEX import Cameron Clark to reinforce their campaign in the season-ending conference.

With Weathers available and already in town, NorthPort decided to sign him up as original choice Jamel Artis is still under contract in Kosovo.
Weathers has been in the country as early as November and was a regular in the sidelines during San Miguel games in the Commissioner’s Cup.
But with the Beermen opting to have Clark instead, Weathers will now take his act to the Batang Pier.
The campaign will be the first pro stint for Weathers, a product of Southern Methodist University, an NCAA Division 1 school.
