JAYSON Castro was advised to take the rest of the night off after suffering a minor strain on his right Achilles during TNT's game against NLEX on Friday.
The 33-year-old guard left Smart Araneta Coliseum even before the game could finish on the advice of the team doctors. The KaTropa went on to lose, 126-113.
"For safety reasons lang. Pinagpahinga na namin," said TNT assistant team manager Migs Fernandez.
Castro hurt his ankle on a drive at the 6:18 mark of the first quarter and never returned. He went scoreless but grabbed two rebounds and one assist after playing five minutes and 42 seconds.
