SHERYL Reyes has passed away after battling uterine cancer. She was 38.
A player agent, Reyes is responsible from bringing in several imports in the Philippines. Among the most notable imports she represented were Justin Brownlee of Barangay Ginebra and Renaldo Balkman of San Miguel in the PBA.
Reyes was able to bring Brownlee and Balkman together to play for San Miguel Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) where the team won its first title in 2018.
Recently, she also brought former NBA player Lamar Odom to play for Mighty Sports in the Dubai International Basketball Championship.
Tributes poured in as soon as the news broke on social media.
“I will miss you. Thanks for all the help and fun times. Till we meet again,” wrote Alab Pilipinas owner and fellow player agent Charlie Dy on his Twitter account.
“May you rest in peace. No more pain and suffering for you to deal with,” wrote former Alab Pilipinas cager Bobby Ray Parks.
