JAMES Sena was meted a one-game suspension by the PBA Commissioner's Office for his landing spot foul committed on Jeff Chan in last week's Commissioner's Cup game between Barangay Ginebra and Blackwater.
The suspension was handed down after Sena was appeared in the league office in Libis on Tuesday following a thorough review of the infraction he commited midway through the fourth quarter of a game which the Elite won in overtime, 108-107.
The suspension comes on top of a P20,000 fine slapped on the Blackwater big man for the flagrant foul penalty 2 whistled on him that led to his ejection.
It was learned Sena had also committed the same landing spot foul against Asi Taulava a few years back, prompting the league to summon him and impose the suspension.
Sena will miss the Elite's game against the debuting Phoenix Fuel Masters this Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Chan was left with a serious ankle sprain that is expected to keep him out of commission for at least three weeks.
