ALASKA has not only hired Eric Altamirano, Danny Ildefonso, and Tony dela Cruz to bolster its think tank.
The Aces have also tapped the services of legendary import Sean Chambers as a consultant – at least in their buildup for the next PBA season.
Chambers is making another return to the country next week to lend a hand to a team he led to six championships, including a grand slam in the 1990s.
Aces coach Alex Compton confirmed the news to SPIN.ph, saying the six-time PBA champion import is arriving on November 18 and will stay for more than a week.
“He’ll just help us with what we’re doing,” Compton said. “He’ll do some work with the bigs.”
Chambers earlier shared the news on his Facebook account, expressing his excitement to help a team that underachieved in the last two conferences.
“Looking forward to working and supporting coach Alex Compton and the rest of the Alaska Aces coaching staff to achieve excellence,” Chambers posted.
“We will win a championship next season,” he added.
