SCOTTIE Thompson is moving on from the late error in Game Two that nearly cost Barangay Ginebra the victory and, perhaps, the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Thompson had 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and one block, although he committed a team-high five turnovers in Ginebra’s 71-70 victory over TNT last Sunday.

One error that got Ginebra fans on the edge was an errant pass that went right into the hands of TNT’s Calvin Oftana, putting the Tropang Giga in a position to steal the win.
Fortunately, TNT came up empty-handed in the final possession as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson failed to get off a decent shot, enabling Ginebra to tie the best-of-seven series after falling in Game 1, 95-89.
Thompson took the blame for the wild pass, saying that he should have responded better in the face of the pressure in Game 2.
“Nakita ko kasi na tatlo silang nandoon tapos napunta sa akin lahat (ng depensa). Lapses, bad decision-making for me. I’ll take that. I-oown ko ‘yun,” said Thompson.
Thompson vowed to play better as he expressed frustration over the other turnovers that he committed in Game 2.
But he was also happy with the overall effort of his teammates that limited TNT to a PBA finals-low four points in the second quarter and 19 in the first half.
“Good game sa amin. I think ‘yung defense namin, bumaba ‘yung scoring namin. Crucial sa amin ‘yun,” Thompson said.
“I just want to move on right now and be ready sa Game 3 kasi it’s going to be tougher. Those lapses na nangyari sa game namin ngayon, I’ll be mindful and be better and mag-improve sa game,” said Thompson.
