SAN Miguel and Barangay Ginebra are out to return to winning ways in a marquee Friday match-up in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen and the Gin Kings clash at 8 p.m. with the Beermen at sixth place on a 3-3 win-loss record and looking to catch the Gin Kings, who sit at fourth with a 4-2 slate.
The Beermen have lost two straight games since June Mar Fajardo was ruled out for the next four to six weeks due to a fractured hand, the last a 94-90 defeat at the hands of sister team Magnolia, 94-90, last Sunday.

San Miguel is hoping the addition of Don Trollano will pump life into the squad. The do-it-all forward is set for his Beermen debut after he was acquired in a trade with NorthPort in exchange for Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo, and a future second-round draft pick.
Before that, Trollano was part of the package of players that NLEX shipped to NorthPort in order to obtain Robert Bolick in a trade.
Ginebra is also looking to get back on track after suffering an 82-77 defeat against Phoenix last Saturday in San Jose, Batangas.
In the first game, TNT goes for its second straight win when it faces struggling Blackwater at 4 p.m. The Tropang Giga are fresh from a 113-97 win over NLEX, their first of three games in a five-day stretch.
TNT eyes rebound
TNT’s match against Blackwater is pivotal as it shares a similar 3-3 record at sixth place with San Miguel, its opponent on Sunday at the Ynares Center.
At 1-6 and in 11th place in the standings, Blackwater will try to arrest a six-game losing streak in the TNT contest.
The Bossing have activated two more rookies out of the MPBL in James Kwekuteye and Archie Concepcion for the TNT showdown.
