INJURED big man Mo Tautuaa showed up for San Miguel in Game 3 of its PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals against Bay Area Dragons but he wasn’t in playing uniform.
The Fil-Tongan player sat behind the San Miguel bench as he’s still recuperating from a recent procedure to remove the root of the infection of the boil that has long been bothering him.

Team manager Gee Abanilla however, said Tautuaa needs at least 10 days of rest before he could be given the go signal to resume playing.
“I think Dec. 9 or 10 (yung procedure). And recovery is at least 10 days,” said the San Miguel official just before the game at the Philsports Arena on Sunday.
Tautuaa's lone appearance in the playoffs came in Game 1 of the Beermen’s quarterfinals series against Converge FiberXers, before sitting out the rest, including all three games in the semifinals against the Dragons.
The infection was the same one which bothered Tautuaa during his stint with the Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 men’s team during the FIBA Olympic qualifier last year.
In the mid-season conference, he is averaging 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the defending champion Beermen.
