SAN Miguel got three quality additions after signing veterans Billy Mamaril, Chico Lanete, and rookie Louie Vigil.
SMC management, though, did not reveal details of the contract terms given to the three, although they have been listed as part of the Beermen's 15-man roster for the PBA Philippine Cup.
The Beermen kick off their campaign for a record fourth straight all-Filipino title this Sunday against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
Vigil, the former University of Santo Tomas team captain, was selected in the second round (17th overall) by the Beermen in the recent rookie draft.
Mamaril and Lanete, however, were left in the unrestricted free agent list by Globalport and Phoenix, respectively.
The service of the three should come in handy as San Miguel lost Jay-R Reyes, Ronald Tubid, and Rashawn McCarthy to KIA Picanto in the pre-draft trade involving top overall pick Christian Standhardinger.
The 6-foot-7 Fil-German though, won’t be coming on board for San Miguel until the mid-season Commissioner’s Cup.
