SAN Miguel held practice behind closed doors, a day after word came out of a fight between import Dez Wells and locals Arwind Santos and Ronald Tubid.
SPIN.ph attempted to visit the team’s practice on Monday at its headquarters at the Acropolis Gym but security guards said visitors are not allowed to enter.
San Miguel coaches and officials have also been mum about the incident that happened on Sunday in practice at The Upper Deck Sports Center in Pasig City.
Calls and messages to SMB officials and coaches haven't been answered.
Sources said the situation escalated when Wells fell to the floor after a hard pick by Santos. Though cooler heads prevailed, witnesses said Tubid took exception and punched Wells.
Kelly Nabong later retaliated and punched Tubid before order was restored, witnesses added.
Fans who were at the practice facility, sources said, were then asked to leave the premises as the team dealt with the situation, just like during Monday’s practice.

The incident put a cloud of uncertainty over the Beermen's quest to complete only the sixth grand slam in league history - and the second for the franchise.
San Miguel is already assured of a quarterfinal berth but can still secure twice-to-beat advantage with a win over TNT at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City on Wednesday.
