A new contract for Juami Tiongson now. Hopefully, a first ever PBA championship with San Miguel Beer later.
SMB management showed how much it valued the soft-spoken but deadly-shooting guard through the contract offered and signed by Tiongson recently.
SPIN.ph learned the deal was good for three years, but the total amount of the package wasn't specified.

Nonetheless, Tiongson was elated and humbled by the complete trust given him by San Miguel top brass given the short time he's spent playing for the multi-titled franchise.
"Very grateful sa San Miguel management sa malaking tiwala na ibinigay nila sa akin," said the veteran guard from Ateneo, mentioning the names of San Miguel President Ramon S. Ang, SMC Sports Director, Alfrancis Chua, team governor Robert Non, and team manager Gee Abanilla.

"Laking pasalamat siyempre. Pero hindi lang salamat, kailangan ko ring i-earn ito."
Together with Andreas Cahilig, the 34-year-old Tiongson was acquired by San Miguel in a trade with Terrafirma for the duo of Vic Manuel and Terrence Romeo prior to the mid-season Commissioner's Cup.
Tiongson is set to play his first quarterfinals with San Miguel as the Beermen have already clinched a berth in the playoffs.
In Tiongson's first conference with the franchise, the Beermen failed to advance in the playoffs of the mid-season Commissioner's Cup.
His last quarterfinals appearance came in last year's All-Filipino conference while he was still with Terrafirma.
"San Miguel na ito. Iba na yung standard sa team na ito. Siyempre the goal is to win the championship, but we always want to take it one game at a time and build on our current success," Tiongson said.
