SAN Miguel looks to snap a two-game losing run when it goes up against Blackwater on Wednesday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Beermen and the Elite collide at 7 p.m.
San Miguel suffered a 108-98 loss to Rain or Shine on February 1, its second consecutive defeat. The Beermen never lost twice in a row in their reign as four-time Philippine Cup champions.
The Elite have a 1-3 win-loss card, and are coming off a 114-95 loss to Phoenix Pulse also on February 1.
In the first game, Alaska looks to bounce back when the Aces take on Columbian at 4:30 p.m.
Alaska bowed to Rain or Shine, 85-72, in its first game back after reaching the finals of the Governors’ Cup.
Alaska coach Alex Compton admitted the Aces are still not in their top form after a short preparation for the conference as they opted for a longer rest to avoid further injuries.
“We’re just not there yet. And we got a long ways to go,” said Compton.
The Aces are playing shorthanded, with Vic Manuel, JVee Casio and Simon Enciso sidelined.
Columbian started the season with a stunning win against San Miguel, but are now on a two-game slide including a 97-85 defeat against Barangay Ginebra last Saturday to fall to 2-3.
