SAN Miguel won in overwhelming fashion once again, defeating Blackwater, 105-86, on Wednesday in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Philsports Arena.
Jericho Cruz led the Beermen with 22 points while import Cameron Clark had 20 to lead his team to home in a game where they led by as many as 30 points.
Just days after leading by as many as 33 points in a win against Phoenix last Sunday, the Beermen move to 2-0 under the leadership of new head coach Jorge Gallent.

SMB outscored Blackwater, 30-11, in the second quarter and led, 63-33, the biggest of the match-up. The Bossing never got close enough to threaten and fell to 1-2 win-loss.
Gallent, though, wasn't entirely happy with the win, expressing concern over SMB's third-quarter performance where they were outscored by Blackwater, 33-20.
“We just have to learn. We just have to play smarter. In the first half, we were running and then it suddenly stopped,” said Gallent.
"We just have to learn and watch film and see what’s happening there. Like what I always say, if we give other teams a chance to come back, they will take advantage."
Cruz and Clark combined for 27 points right in the first half.
June Mar Fajardo added 17 points and 16 rebounds, highlighting the double-double performance by hitting his first three pointer of the conference.
Shawn Glover tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Joshua Torralba added 11 points for the Bossing.
