DRAWING inspiration from his idol LeBron James, GlobalPort guard Ryan Arana tried to pull off a similar get-up, arriving to the venue on a suit-and-short combo on Saturday.
“Game day!! You know you're a @kingjames fan when you dress like him going to the game lol #hatersGonnaHate,” he wrote on his Instagram account, posting a photo of him donning the outfit side by side with James and Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Jordan Clarkson.
Araña also brought a man purse, a far cry from James’ bag but completed the look nonetheless.
As expected, Araña’s teammates let him have it, jeering the 35-year-old as he entered the Batang Pier dugout.
It is yet to be seen, though, if Araña could also churn out something in the line of James’ 51-point explosion in Game One of the NBA Finals.
But for sure, Araña doesn’t want GlobalPort to emulate the Cavaliers’ loss to the Golden State Warriors in this tiff against Alaska.
