DURING the break before the start of the PBA 49th Season Commissioner’s Cup finals, RR Pogoy had an opportunity to visit Jayson Castro at his home in Guagua, Pampanga.
Pogoy joined several members of the TNT utility staff last Tuesday to check on Castro, who has stayed home after being ruled out of the season due to a ruptured right knee patellar tendon tear, making him unavailable in the now-ongoing title series against Barangay Ginebra.

Pogoy said Castro is still in crutches and not mobile enough to make the trip from his home to the games during the finals to support the Tropang Giga.
But Pogoy said Castro was very happy with the visit.
“Okay naman si kuya Jayson,” Pogoy said. “Tuwang-tuwa nga siya nun eh, kasama ko ‘yung mga boys, ‘yung mga utility namin. Kami kasi ‘yan eh, palaging nagtatawanan sa ensayo.”

Pogoy said Castro treated them to a hearty meal on top of the happy conversation.
“Sarap pa nga ng kain namin. Nagpakain na, nagpasalubong pa. Kare-kare,” said Pogoy.
Paalala ni kuya Jayson
Before leaving, Pogoy said Castro had a message that he wanted delivered to all of TNT, as it vies for another title against the Gin Kings.
“Bago kami uuwi, sabi niya ‘Ger, huwag kayo matakot. Laruin niyo lang laro niyo.’ Kahit wala si kuya Jayson, sabi niya, 'Kaya niyo ‘yan,'” said Pogoy.

And Pogoy said Castro has a promise if the Tropang Giga do defend their Commissioner’s Cup title.
“Sabi niya, pagkatapos ng finals, doon kami sa resort niya,” said Pogoy.
