RR Pogoy has been relegated to TNT’s injured/reserve list after sustaining a hyperextended knee in the Tropang 5G’s recent game against Converge last Tuesday.
TNT team manager Jojo Lastimosa said Pogoy’s knee injury is considered mild and he could be out only for one to two weeks.
Poy Erram has been activated in place of Pogoy, who suffered the injury after an awkward step on his way to take a lay-up during the second half.
Erram is eligible to play his first game of the conference in TNT’s next game against San Miguel on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Pogoy adds to the injured players on the TNT side that also includes Jordan Heading, who sustained a shoulder injury during the same game.
Heading remains in the active roster as he was diagnosed with a shoulder contusion but Lastimosa said the TNT guard is a gametime decision.
TNT is already playing with a depleted roster as Calvin Oftana, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, and Jayson Castro are also dealing with injuries.
Heading and Pogoy are TNT’s second and third leading scorers this conference with averages of 15.0 and 14.8 respectively.
TNT has an even 2-2 win-loss record despite the injuries, with Rey Nambatac scoring a buzzer-beating three in their 110-107 win over Converge.
