RAIN or Shine has declined to sign RR Garcia for the conference.
Head coach Caloy Garcia confirmed the news, saying he has already spoken to RR Garcia’s manager Ed Ponceja about the development.
“Nakausap ko na si tito Ed kagabi,” said Caloy Garcia on Thursday. “We would like to get him but at the end of the day, we have to develop the young ones.”
RR Garcia tried out for a spot with the Elastopainters for the Governors’ Cup upon the invitation of the Rain or Shine squad following the expiration of his contract with TNT. RR Garcia even played a tune-up game against Phoenix Pulse last week.
Despite the development, RR Garcia is said to have gained interest from teams and Phoenix Pulse, sources said, as a possible destination.
