TERRAFIRMA team governor Bobby Rosales declined comment on Starhorse Shipping Lines' bid to buy and take over its PBA franchise at the end of the season.
Rosales told a handful of reporters on Friday that it will be the PBA which has the authority to speak about the status of the Dyip franchise at the close of the Philippine Cup.

Friday's game marked the first public appearance of Terrafirma since news came out that the Dyip could be playing in their final conference in the PBA.
Incidentally, Terrafirma won in its first game of what could be its final conference win the PBA, defeating Phoenix, 95-87, after it led by as many as 23 points in their Philippine Cup debut.

The purchase of Terrafirma’s franchise by Starhorse is still to be approved by the PBA board of governors via two-thirds vote, but the matter hasn’t been discussed at that level, leading to doubts on whether the sale will still push through.
If the purchase pushes through, Starhorse will take over the operations of Terrafirma’s basketball team lock, stock, and barrel, meaning it will take over all the contracts of players such as Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle, its future draft rights, and even the playing rights of Christian Standhardinger, who has retired.
