IT wasn't the exit Rain or Shine had hope for.

The Americans raced to a 26-6 lead and never allowed the Filipinos to get into any groove.
Rain or Shine finished its campaign with a 2-6 record to clinch seventh place. It actually ended up tied with Iran, but the Elasto Painters beat the Iranians in double overtime, 98-90.
Chinese Taipei-B claimed sixth place at 3-5 despite finishing with the same record as United Arab Emirates, which beat the Team B of the host country, 71-69.
Qatar had an even 4-4 slate for fourth place.

UC Irvine meanwhile, completed an eight-game sweep of the meet to emerge as champion.
Setting back Rain or Shine in its final game was the ejection of import Nick Evans midway through the first period.
The 34-year-old Evans was called for an unsportsmanlike foul and later had a verbal altercation with the head coach of UC Irvine.
Andrei Caracut finished with 14 points and was the only Rain or Shine player in double figures.
Derin Saran had 23 points to lead UC Irvine, which clinched the crown Saturday night with a 95-80 win over Chinese Taipei-A in a game between two unbeaten teams.
Rain or Shine will fly back home to Manila on Monday evening.
