RONDAE Hollis-Jefferson plans to come back for TNT next season after winning two championships in the PBA 49th Season.
Hollis-Jefferson’s most recent PBA conquest came in the Commissioner’s Cup where he had 25 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block in TNT’s title-clinching 87-83 win over Barangay Ginebra in Game 7.
“Yeah, of course,” said Hollis-Jefferson with a big smile after Game 7 of the Commissioner’s Cup.
There is no reason for TNT to make an import change next season.
RHJ also helped the Tropang Giga win the Governors’ Cup title last November at the expense of Ginebra. The Best Import of the Conference award he won in the Commissioner’s Cup was the third of his career.
Hollis-Jefferson played through a pulled hamstring and a groin injury while playing seven games with Ginebra in the championship. He has no plans of playing for a club team until the injuries are checked out and healed.
“I’ll get it checked out… just to make sure everything is good,” said Hollis-Jefferson about his injury. “And then, I’ll get it checked out again when I get back home and I’ll take care of my body and be ready."
RHJ’s immediate plan is to relax and spend time with his family and children.
“I’m going home to rest. I’m going home to play with my kids and pick them up from school, coach them in soccer,” said Hollis-Jefferson.
“And I’ll see you guys again, soon,” Hollis-Jefferson told reporters.
