RONDAE Hollis-Jefferson was in the stands to watch TNT’s game against Barangay Ginebra in the PBA 49th Season Philippine Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
However, what he witnessed was not the result that he have wanted in his return to Manila as the Tropang 5G were routed by the Gin Kings, 97-78.

Hollis-Jefferson is in town to conduct basketball clinics while the team is playing in an all-local Philippine Cup. He helped put the ballclub in a position to win a grand slam after titles in the Commissioner's Cup and Governors' Cup.
RHJ’s last appearance in the PBA game was in Game 7 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals, which saw TNT beat Ginebra in overtime, 87-83, in overtime last March 28.
Even though he was in the stands, the three-time Best Import made sure that he made his presence felt by taking time to talk to the team at halftime when the Tropang 5G were down by a huge deficit, 54-27.

“Kanina nung halftime, sabi lang niya na be accountable and don’t look at the score,” said TNT center Poy Erram.
Erram though admitted it was easier said than done after the ballgame got away from TNT early by conceding the first 13 points of the match.
“Nakita namin ‘yung score, tambak na kami ng bente. Hindi na namin tinatakbo ‘yung sistema namin. Dumating na sa point na one-on-one na,” said Erram.
RHJ, who is signed to an exclusive one-year contract by TNT, later joined his team in the dugout after the loss.
Hollis-Jefferson’s next chance at witnessing a TNT victory will be on Friday when the Tropang 5G face Magnolia at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in a game with seeding implications.
