TERRAFIRMA will have a new man at the helm come Season 50 of the PBA.
Ronald Tubid has been named head coach of a franchise that was given a new lease on life in the coming golden season of the pro league.
Team governor Bobby Rosales confirmed the development to SPIN.ph on Friday.

Tubid will replace interim coach Raymond Tiongco, who called the shots for the team the last two conferences after taking over from Johnedel Cardel.
Asked if Tiongco will remain with the Dyip, Rosales said the team will have a formal announcement in its coaching changes as soon as possible.
Tubid, 43, suited up for one season with Terrafirma after being part of the Christian Standhardinger trade in 2017.
After his playing years ended, he was eventually tapped as one of the deputies of Cardel together with Tiongco.
In the 2021-22 season, he was named team manager of the franchise.
Tubid’s first official duty for the Dyip will be selecting the team’s No. 1 overall pick in the coming PBA Rookie Draft.

The tough playing guard out of University of the East was an accomplished player in his PBA career, having won a total of nine championships during his stints with Barangay Ginebra and San Miguel.
He was a second-round pick of Shell in the 2003 draft, and also played for Air21 and Barako Bull.
A seven-time All-Star, Tubid was once a co-Finals MVP with Eric Menk when Ginebra won the 2008 Fiesta Conference championship.
