ANTIPOLO – Terrafirma is taking a collaborative approach to coaching the team in the PBA 50th Season Philippine Cup.
Ronald Tubid is listed as the head coach of the Terrafirma, but lead assistant Jeff Napa and Jaren Jarencio have noticeably been active as well in shouting instructions and drawing up plays for the Dyip.
Terrafirma’s set-up resulted in a win in just its second game since Tubid was appointed head coach when the Dyip stunned NLEX, 97-91, to even their record to 1-1 (win-loss) in the Philippine Cup on Sunday.

“Sa team namin, there is no head coach. Lahat kami doon head coach,” said Tubid, who only has Napa and Jarencio in his coaching staff.
“That’s why tulungan talaga eh, kasi kami lang. Tatlo lang kami,” he added.
Napa and Jarencio were once part of the NorthPort coaching staff but moved to Terrafirma after the Batang Pier franchise was sold to Pureblends Corp. during the offseason and now carries the brand Titan Ultra.

Napa and Jarencio also coaching duties in the collegiate level with Napa being the head coach of National University, and Jarencio part of the coaching staff of his father Pido at University of Santo Tomas.
Napa even went straight from the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion to the Ynares Center after NU defeated La Salle in their UAAP Season 88 elimination round match-up, arriving for the Terrafirma game just before halftime.
Tubid is thankful to Napa and Jarencio for helping out in the Terrafirma preparations despite their busy schedule.
“Lahat pinaghihirapan ng coaching staff especially Coach Jeff and Coach Ja. Lahat pinaghahandaan namin kasi we know na young team at we are smaller. Binibilisan lang namin ‘yung pace ng laro," said Tubid.
"Kailangan ang laro, laro namin. Hindi namin laruin ‘yung laro nila."
