IF Ronald Tubid would sell anything, it would be convincing everyone that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
The 36-year-old cager, coming off a vintage performance of 22 points, highlighted by six three-pointers, eight boards, and one block in 30 minutes off the bench in Kia’s 95-76 loss to Blackwater in the PBA Philippine Cup, disowned a certain fake Instagram account under his name that’s selling shoes.
“Mga friends ko, nag-text sa akin kung akin ba yun. Sabi ko, hindi, pare, hindi ako nagbebenta ng shoes o jersey. Namimigay pa nga ako,” Tubid told SPIN.ph after their loss to the Elite on Friday night.
“Sabi ko, wag niya i-ano yan,” he added. “Even mga teammates ko sa Kia, sabi ko hindi sa akin yan.”
Tubid, though, couldn’t tell what the exact Instagram handle of fake account was, but stressed he only has one real account.
“May Instagram ako, RonT71, pero I’m not using it right now,” the 15-year veteran said.
“Kung sino man nagfo-follow dun, i-unfollow niyo na, kasi baka mamaya, kine-claim pangalan ko, hindi naman sa akin,” he added.
“Sana, kung sino man yung gumagamit ng account ko, sana ma-konsensiya sila,” he continued.
