Ronald Pascual gets new lease on life after being signed by Alaska to short-term deal

Alaska coach Alex Compton on Ronald Pascual: "He has really done a lot of hard work to earn a spot on our roster."

RONALD Pascual gets a new lease on his PBA career as he is officially part of Alaska's opening-day roster for the Philippine Cup.

Practicing with the Aces since June, the 29-year-old wingman finally made the lineup, marking his return from a season-long absence due to personal issues.

Aces coach Alex Compton confirmed that Pascual has been signed to a short-term contract.

"We are glad to have Ronald with us," Compton told SPIN.ph on Thursday night. "He has really done a lot of hard work to earn a spot on our roster. We look forward to seeing him continue to improve and contribute to our team goals."

The forgotten member of San Sebastian's "Pinatubo Trio" with Calvin Abueva and Ian Sangalang, Pascual reunites with The Beast at Alaska.

Pascual is set to make his debut on Wednesday night when the Aces open their campaign against Magnolia at The Arena in San Juan.
