ANTIPOLO—Romeo Travis will play in Game Four of the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals, according to Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero, amidst rumors about his health condition for Friday’s match.
Victolero said Travis will play for Game Four when asked by SPIN.ph minutes before tip-off but didn’t elaborate on whether it is true that he sustained an injury or not.
Details about Travis’ injury has so far been sketchy but import agent Sheryl Reyes wrote on her social media account that Victolero had asked for a temporary import.
“As of yesterday, I was asked for a temporary replacement for Travis but I advised coach that won’t be easy so the best solution is he uses his locals to his advantage. Mahirap magpalit ng import in one day,” wrote Reyes.
Travis scored a PBA career-low 12 points in Wednesday’s 107-103 loss to Ginebra in Game Three.
