ROGER Pogoy launched and nailed a three-pointer with two seconds left in the opening quarter of Game Four of the PBA Commissioner's Cup finals.
Finally, the scoring drought for the rookie guard in the best-of-seven title series was over
It was the first of six shots Pogoy made in a sterling performance where he finished with 14 points on top of three rebounds and two block shots to help the team hack out a 102-97 win over San Miguel Beermen on Wednesday.
"Natuwa ako nung na-shoot ko yung first three points ko," said Pogoy, who was 0-of-18 from the field since the payoff period of Game One.
"Masaya ako kasi naka-score na. Nag-struggle ako pero nagdasal ako kay Lord, na siya na ang bahala."
More than that, Pogoy is glad TnT Katropa managed to even the series at 2-all.
The former Far Eastern University standout, though, sees a tougher road ahead as both teams go back to square one in Game Five on Friday also at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
"Masaya kasi back-to-zero na. Best-of-three na. Pero 'di pa tapos, kasi best-of-seven pa rin," he said.
"Mas mahirap kasi alam naman natin na mas mag-aadjust sila. Adjust din kami."
