THE PBA has punished Roger Pogoy for his low blow on Arwind Santos in Game Two of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Friday night.
The league slapped a P30,000 fine to the TNT KaTropa rookie for “an unprovoked, unsportsmanlike act with the intent to hurt by deliberately hitting the groin of Arwind Santos” early in the third quarter of San Miguel Beer’s 102-88 win over the Texters.
Pogoy incurred a flagrant foul 2 for the action, resulting in his automatic ejection from the game that saw him go scoreless in almost 19 minutes of play after firing career-high 27 markers in the series opener that the Texters won, 104-102.
