RODNEY Brondial posted a cryptic image that more or less hinted he’s bound for Alaska as part of the trade involving starting guard Chris Banchero.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, the 28-year-old Brondial published an old photo of him in a red Barangay Ginebra jersey while being led to the scorer’s table by the Kings’ former coach Jeff Cariaso.
Of course, Cariaso is now head coach of the Aces, who are currently trying to rebuild a team that has gone to the finals five times in the last four seasons.
The rebuilding began before the start of the PBA Governors Cup when the team acquired rookie Abu Tratter for Carl Bryan Cruz. Now it dealt Banchero to Magnolia for Brondial and sophomore guard Robbie Herndon.
Asked in the comment section about being ‘reunited,’ obviously referring to Cariaso, ‘yessssir,’ was Brondial’s curt reply.
In the accompany message, Brondial wrote 'Every gising is a blessing! Good morning y'all.' He also added the hashtag #EnjoyLife.
Reached out by SPIN.ph when the Banchero trade came out, Cariaso politely begged off from commenting on the matter, although he neither confirmed nor denied the issue.
The Aces will play the NorthPort Batang Pier on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
