ROOKIE Robert Bolick's knee has been put on an immobilizer pending the result of an MRI done after NorthPort’s win over San Miguel in the PBA Governors Cup on Wednesday night.
Bolick wore the splint as a precautionary measure after suffering the injury in a bad fall in the Batang Pier’s 127-119 win over the San Miguel Beermen at the Astrodome.
The rookie sensation was brought to St. Luke’s hospital in BGC after the game. The test result has already been forwarded to orthopedic surgeon Jose Raul Canlas on Friday.
Bolick incurred the injury early in the fourth quarter of the game and the Batang Pier holding a 102-95 lead. He finished with nine points, three rebounds, and six assists.
As per NorthPort physical therapist, Bolick will be going to Canlas’ clinic on Saturday for evaluation of the injury.
NorthPort management hopes the injury wouldn’t be that serious especially with the 3-4 Batang Pier in the running for a playoff berth.
The Batang Pier’s final four games are against Alaska (Nov. 3), NLEX (Nov. 10), Meralco (Nov. 10), and Barangay Ginebra on Nov. 17.
