SAN Miguel Beer may be on top of the PBA Philippine Cup leaderboard, but it's Robert Bolick who is No. 1 in the race for the Best Player of the Conference award.

The explosive NLEX guard leads the statistical point standings halfway through the season-ending conference with an average of 49.2 sps fueled by his league-leading 29.6 points average and 7.2 assists per game.

Bolick key to NLEX surge

Seeing action in his first full conference with the Road Warriors, Bolick’s leadership has been the major reason for the team’s surge up the standings, now running second behind the undefeated Beermen (5-0) with its 5-1 record.

Bolick and the rest of the Road Warriors are in Candon, Ilocos Sur for their Saturday matchup against the TNT Tropang Giga.

Northport main man Arvin Tolentino is at No. 2 behind Bolick with 43.6sps and also second in scoring with 24.0 points as the Batang Pier are off to a 4-2 start. The 28-year-old forward also showed his all-around game by submitting numbers of 7.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per outing.
