ROBERT Bolick found himself under siege from rookie Stephen Holt and veterans June Mar Fajardo, and Christian Standhardinger in the race for the PBA Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference.
The four emerged as the biggest threats to Bolick’s bid on wining his first-ever BPC award based on the latest statistical points standings released at the end of the eliminations.
Bolick, the high-scoring guard of NLEX who leads the league in both scoring (27.4) and assist (7.0), continued to lead the race with a total of 44.5 statistical points.

But Holt, the top Terrafirma rookie, has risen up in the standings to secure the No. 2 spot with 41.5 sps behind his all-around numbers of 21.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 2.5 steals.
The 6-foot-4 Fil-Am is making a strong case for the individual award after Terrafirma claimed the eighth and last quarterfinals berth on Wednesday night with a 104-96 win over Northport.
Fajardo is currently at third place with 41.0 sps and leads the league in rebounding with an average of 14.1, to go along with his 16.0 points and 2.8 assists as San Miguel emerged as the top seeded team heading to the playoffs.
Standhardinger made the biggest jump in the BPC race after taking the No. 4 spot from No. 10 halfway through the eliminations. The Fil-German big man has 38.9 sps behind averages of 19.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists as Ginebra secured the No. 2 spot in the quarterfinals behind San Miguel.
Arvin Tolentino slips
Arvin Tolentino fell from the standings, previously from No. 2 to No. 6 as Northport failed to advance to the playoffs after losing in its do-or-die game against Terrafirma.
The Batang Pier top gunner finished with a total of 36.4 behind numbers of 21.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists, traling fifth-running CJ Perez of San Miguel with 38.7 sps. Winner of the BPC Commissioner’s Cup, the San Miguel wingman averaged 21.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.3 steals in the elims.

TNT’s Calvin Oftana retained his place at seventh spot with 35.5 sps, while the Rain or Shine duo of Santi Santillan (34.8 sps) and Beau Belga (33.7 sps), and Magnolia’s Ian Sangalang (32.6 sps) complete the Top 10 list.
