ROBERT Bolick ienjoyed a much-needed break as he celebrated his birthday on Friday with his family in Ormoc, where he will spend the weekend before returning to NorthPort practice on Monday.

When he comes back, the NorthPort rookie sensation will be looking to improve his game further, thanks to lessons he picked up along the way while playing for Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba World Cup.

“Patience, execution nila, chemistry nila iba.

Bolick said he has already moved on from the pain of losing all five games in the Fiba Basketball World Cup, but will use it as a fuel to be a better player.

Just a day after arriving from China, Bolick showed up to watch NorthPort’s tune-up match against Alaska on Wednesday, and returned to practice on Thursday before going home to spend his birthday weekend with family.

Bolick said he will get down to business next week when he returns to NorthPort where the Batang Pier are looking to bounce back after losing to eventual champion San Miguel despite being the second seed in the quarterfinals of the Commissioner’s Cup.
