OSAKA - Ricky Vargas was re-elected chairman of the PBA board for another season, but this time with a new partner.
Barangay Ginebra governor Alfrancis Chua is now the new vice-chairman, replacing the outgoing Bobby Rosales of Terrafirma. Rosales served in the board in the same capacity for five seasons.

Vargas will be serving his seventh year as board chairman of Asia's pioneering pro league.
"I'm privileged to stay one more year. So I thank the board for their confidence," said Vargas following the election of officers during the board's annual planning session at the Swissotel Nankai.

Phoenix governor Atty. Raymond Zorilla was retained as board treasurer.
Vargas also announced the reconfirmation of Willie Marcial as commissioner.
"The commissioner has an existing contract with us. But the board re-confirms that every year," said Vargas of Marcial, whose tenure will run until the end of Season 51.
The board has also confirmed the appointment of Atty. Ogie Narvasa as its new corporate secretary.
