RONDAE Hollis-Jefferson got TNT to a good start as it grabbed a 45-35 lead over Barangay Ginebra at halftime of Game 5 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Hollis-Jefferson was held to 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field in Game 4 which TNT lost, but the three-time Best Import awardee was three points of that output with one half left to play on Sunday night,
In contrast, Justin Brownlee struggled in the first half, going just 1-of-5 from the field. He made his first and only basket on a turnaround jumper late in the second quarter after pouring in 23 points in a heroic performance in Game 4.
Rey Nambatac was also key in the first half for TNT, scoring 12 points including a 2 of 3 output from threes.
The best-of-seven title series is all level at 2-2.
