THE PBA Commissioner's Office approved on Tuesday the one-on-one trade between Blackwater and Converge involving Rey Suerte and BJ Andrade.
Both Suerte and Andrade will suit up for their new teams starting the season-ending Philippine Cup that kicks off late in March.
The 30-year old Suerte spent close to three years playing for the Bossing, who selected the wingman out of University of the Visayas and University of the East as the No. 2 pick in the 2019 special Gilas draft.

At Converge, he’ll be reunited with former Gilas Pilipinas teammates Justine Baltazar, Jordan Heading, and Mike Nieto, while giving the FiberXers another shooter at the wings aside from Heading, Nieto, Kevin Racal, and Bryan Santos.
Like Suerte, Andrade, 28, will be playing for his second PBA team after initially being picked by Converge in the first round (No. 10) of the Season 48 draft.

He failed to suit up in his first two conferences with the FiberXers during his rookie season as he recovered from an ACL injury, but has been part of the rotation of coach Franco Atienza this Season 49.
His move to Blackwater will have him parting ways with uncle Danny Ildefonso, who is part of the Converge coaching staff.
