The ballclub announced Nambatac’s absence owing to the groin injury that he suffered last week in TNT’s game against Meralco.

Nambatac’s loss comes as a dampener on a week when TNT overcome its early struggles by coming up with three straight wins to even their record at 3-3.
Nambatac is also coming off a performance in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup where he was named as the Finals MVP.
TNT coach Chot Reyes already described Nambatac’s absence as a “very big” loss shortly after TNT came away with the victory over Meralco.
TNT’s backcourt is already without Jayson Castro due to a ruptured right patellar tendon that ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Nambatac is averaging 12.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists for the Tropang 5G this conference.
