BARANGAY Ginebra rode on a fiery start by Justin Brownlee and red-hot shooting from the locals to open a 22-point spread, 62-40, over Rain or Shine at halftime of Game Two of their PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup.
Aggressive from the get-go, Brownlee exploded for 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting to lead an explosive start by a Gin Kings side that is trying to avoid falling into a 0-2 hole after losing the opener of the best-of-seven series, 115-111.

As a team, the Gin Kings made 25 of 43 shots for a 58.1 percent clip and 50 percent from three-point distance (10-of-20) to leave the Elasto Painters with a mountain to climb entering the halftime break.
As impressive as their offense was, the Gin Kings were more impressive on defense where they held Rain or Shine to 40 points on 35% shooting (14-of-40).
ROS import, who had a 40-point double-double in the series opener, scored just nine points and made just 4 of 13 shots against an aggressive Ginebra defense that gave him few open looks.
It wasn't all-Brownlee for Ginebra, which also got 17 points and three treys from RJ Abarrientos, and one three-pointer each from Troy Rosario, Scottie Thompson, Jeremiah Gray, and Stephen Holt,
