TIM Cone's statement was short but definitely packed a punch as Ginebra endured another beatdown at the hands of San Miguel, 132-94, in Game Three of the PBA Finals on Wednesday.

Ginebra got absolutely humiliated in the second half where the Beermen outscored them, 79-43, to continue the trend of blowouts in this weird best-of-seven championship series.

"I have nothing to say other than I am embarrassed by our performance," said Cone as he stormed out of the tunnel shortly after the defeat.

"They're too good for us."

The 38-point loss tied the worst blowout in PBA Finals history, according to PBA Chief Statistician Fidel Mangonon III.

Ironically, it was Cone's team which held the previous record, when Alaska slammed the Beermen 99-61, in the 1998 All-Filipino Finals.

Now Cone knows what it feels like to be on the wrong end of an embarrassing defeat, and it's up to his wards to make it up to their coach.

By the third quarter, it was all over as San Miguel flipped the switch in the second half as Ginebra slowly faded away.
