YOU have to give it to the spin doctors of KIA Motors for this much talked about deal with Manny Pacquiao that extends all the way to the PBA.
Sadly, this latest caper seems to be spinning out of control.
Manny Pacquiao as playing coach in the PBA? Come on, is this a joke?
Pacquiao is no doubt a hot commodity and a magnet for attention, much like showbiz personality Kris Aquino. Anything they do - and I mean anything - is headline material.
But seriously, Manny Pacquiao as a PBA player? Have you seen the guy play ball?
He may be headed for a place in the Boxing Hall of Fame alongside his countrymen Francisco 'Pancho Villa' Guilledo and Gabriel 'Flash' Elorde, but his basketball skills are not even good enough for collegiate play.
He is a mean player in pick-up games, but pro ball? It's time to wake up to reality!
Here is another unsolicited advise to PBA commissioner Chito Salud. The last time I reviewed the league by-laws, an important part of the commissioner's mandate is "to ensure that the integrity of the league remains uncompromised."
