BOBBY Ray Parks may still be with San Miguel Alab Pilipinas, but his next destination won't be with the team that drafted him.
Blackwater is set to send the second overall pick of the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft to Meralco in a three-team deal with TNT, Spin.ph sources bared.
Baser Amer is also involved in the deal as he bound for the KaTropa, while Jericho Cruz and newly acquired TNT guard Brian Heruela will be sent to the Elite.
Blackwater management hasn't reached out to Parks' camp, led by his manager Charlie Dy, regarding the deal as of posting time, the sources added.
Parks is now set to team up with his godfather, Meralco coach Norman Black, the moment he ends his stint in the Asean Basketball League.
Amer, who blossomed into one of the league's best guards under Black, will be joining Gilas Pilipinas teammates Jayson Castro, Roger Pogoy and Troy Rosario as he is set to fill the void left by Terrence Romeo at TNT.
Blackwater, on the other hand, welcomes back Heruela after originally drafting him in the third round of the 2014 draft. Heruela, David Semerad and a 2020 first-round draft pick comprised the package that SMB gave up for Romeo.
Cruz, who started his career at Rain or Shine, also goes to the young yet promising Elite core in what would be his third team in four years in the pro league.
It has been a busy offseason for Blackwater after earlier trading away JP Erram to NLEX in exchange for first round draftees Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter.
The Elite are also sending Paul Zamar to San Miguel for a pair of second-round draft picks.
