BOBBY Ray Parks has hinted he could still be joining the PBA Rookie Draft this year.
Parks made his intentions known on Saturday through Twitter, contrary to statements made by his agent Charlie Dy to Spin.ph on Friday saying the former National University star is definitely skipping this year’s PBA draft.
“Not joining?hhmmm..i keep all options open,” Parks wrote on this Twitter account.
But if he is keeping the PBA as an option next season, Parks needs to make up his mind quickly as the deadline for submission of applications for the August 24 PBA Draft is on August 13.
The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player is currently training in the United States and on Friday worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Dy said the former Georgia Tech target plans to stay in the United States for two years to get better as he pursues his dream to enter the NBA Draft, most likely, next year.
“Definitely not this year,” Dy said, referring to any Parks plan to join the PBA draft. “Talagang bibigyan niya pa (ng time) 'yung sarili niya sa US to really give it a try. He wants to get better pa sa US.”
