KIEFER Ravena was a phenom even at an early age.
In a rare tape unearthed by HoopJunkie on Instagram, the then-13-year-old can be seen putting on a dazzling show in Las Vegas that saw him nutmeg a player on a fastbreak.
WATCH:
Ravena shared that he was an incoming high school freshman during that time and they represented the Philippines in a tournament there.
"Papasok ako na freshman sa Ateneo niyan, kay coach Jamike (Jarin)," the NLEX guard told Spin.ph in a short chat.
Aside from Ravena, other players in the squad were his brother Thirdy, brothers Andre and Kobe Paras, Renzo Subido, and Gelo Vito. The BEST Center of the late coach Nic Jorge made theUS trip possible.
"First time ko yan sa national team," he chuckled.

Ravena was a walking bucket at his age as he averaged 31 points in the tournament and even scored 39 points in one game.
More importantly, the Filipino ballers had the luxury of meeting NBA stars like Chris Mullin and Brandon Roy during their stay there.

Looking back, Ravena said that the tournament was such a huge boost to his confidence as he prepared for the high school wars.
"Sobrang daming magagaling na at that time. Feeling ko may mga NBA players akong nakalaban na hindi ko alam na sila na pala yun," he said.
"Pero sobrang helpful na tournament yan. Laking pasalamat ko kila coach Nic Jorge dahil ibang klaseng experience yan."
