NEW faces are coming in for Rain or Shine in the midseason PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
The Elasto Painters signed three recent rookie draftees to separate deals on Wednesday, making them eligible to play for the franchise in the second conference set for a March 11 kickoff.
Welcomed onboard were Jun Roque, Deo Cuajao, and Joshua David, who all agreed to one-year contracts.
Team governor Atty. Mamerto Mondragon led the signing in the presence of the three players and their handler Anthony ‘Brody’ Brodett of Phenom Sports Managament.
Roque and Cuajao both finished their playing years with Letran in NCAA Season 101, where the Knights finished runner-up behind new men’s basketball champion San Beda.
Roque was one of two first-round picks by RoS in the last Season 50 Draft at No. 12, just two notches above Christian Manaytay of University of Santo Tomas.
Cuajao on the other hand, was picked in the second round at No. 22, followed by David at No. 24.
David just finished off his stint with new MPBL champion Abra Weavers, following a tenure in La Salle where he helped the Green Archers to the UAAP Season 86 crown.

The Elasto Painters just recently lost longtime leader Gabe Norwood to retirement, though they signed veteran big man Beau Belga to a fresh, one-year pact.
