RAIN or Shine snapped a four-game losing streak to beat Blackwater, 99-82, on Wednesday in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.

New import Kwame Alexander and Beau Belga made big plays in the fourth quarter to lead their team to victory as the Elastopainters carded their second win in seven outings.

Alexander made an impressive debut in his first game with the Elastopainters, scoring 17 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, while Belga had 17 points to lead the pullaway in the fourth.

The Elite fell to 2-5.

“Finally, we were able to at least break the losing streak,” said Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia. “We still have a chance for the top eight. We know that it’s going to be hard like the game today. We were just lucky that we were hitting shots.”

Belga hit back-to-back threes to start the fourth to push Rain or Shine’s lead to 75-67. With their lead down to three, the Elastopainters went to Alexander, who came in as a replacement for Kayel Locke.
