RAIN or Shine has sent a letter to the PBA Commissioner's Office seeking a review of the 'clenched fist' foul by Petron's Alex Cabagnot that left forward Jervy Cruz with a broken nose.

Coach Yeng Guiao said the team has asked that Cabagnot's foul late in the Painters' Game Four win should be upgraded to a flagrant, describing the hit as "intentional and vicious."

“Intentional 'yun at vicious 'yun.

The letter was sent to Salud a day before Guiao himself was to appear before the commissioner for successive ejections in the series, the first in Game Three where he was called for a second technical for flashing a dirty finger at Petron forward Arwind Santos.

The six-time PBA champion coach said the referees allowed cheap shots by other Petron players.

“Andami nilang nanakit.

Asked if the acts of Petron players were just a form of retaliation for Rain or Shine's highly physical plays, Guiao shook his head, insisting the Painters are phyical but not dirty.

“Rugged kami … pisikal kami. Pero hindi kamukha 'nung ganun sa kanila. Akala nila yung maruming laro nila, yun ang pisikal … Eh 'yan tuloy ang napala nila, 1-3 (behind sa series) sila,” he said.

Guiao said if it were Rain or Shine players dishing off cheap shots, they surely would be slapped with heavy fines by the Commissioner's Office by now.

Wala nang deliberation pa yan,” he said.

Ordinary foul lang,” said the fuming Pampanga congressman.

Guiao, though, said he won't order his players to retaliate.

“It’s a cowardly act (revenge).

    Can they do that?

“Oo, makakaganti kami. At gusto na naming tapusin ang series!”
