RAIN or Shine will no longer have Ryan Araña and Kris Rosales in its roster after they didn’t renew their contract with the team.
Head coach Caloy Garcia confirmed the development after the Elastopainters made an appreciation post for the two players in the PBA ballclub's official Instagram account on Monday.
It is still not clear where the two are headed although Araña has been tinkering with retirement early last year.
Araña went to try out for a spot with Rain or Shine in January 2020, and was eventually signed to a one-conference contract with the team.
Araña also indicated his intention to retire with the team that drafted him in the second round in 2007.
The 36-year-old Araña played in six games for the Elastopainters in the bubble and averaged 3.0 points and 1.67 rebounds per outing.

Rosales, meanwhile, saw action for Rain or Shine for two years after being part of the Jericho Cruz trade to TNT.
He was coming off an 18-month layoff and also proved to be a valuable part of the Elastopainters rotation.
Rosales contributed 5.45 points, 3.91 rebounds, and 1.82 assists for Rain or Shine last year in the bubble.
